ACOUSTIC GUITAR EASY LISTENING
I began playing at age 15, and eventually became professional as a lead/rhythm guitar player in various Los Angeles, California rock bands: Hurlent, Titan, and Electric Angel. This was during the 80's before the music industry began to drastically change. Today I enjoy doing solo projects for both electric and acoustic recordings, and am currently pursuing opportunities for playing live performances again with a band of other talented musicians looking to have some fun. The acoustic song "Winds Aloft" was written while staying at La Rivolte, France - up in the north hills of Cannes overlooking the Ligurian Sea and the island of Corsica while studying under recording artist Martin Simpson. It was during this time that Martin taught me the unlimited realm of open tunings and how to use a thumb-pick, similar to how Johnny Winter used to play. During my stay I also developed portions of "She Sleeps", which is in Key A open tuning, and capoed at the 3rd fret. The song "Winds Aloft" (about flying) is in DADGAD celtic tuning played on a classical guitar.
