HARD ROCK BAND THAT BLENDS HEAVY BRITISH AND SOUTHERN ROCK styleS. TOUR DATES INCLUDE GIGS WITH AC/DC, DERRINGER, PAT TRAVERS BAND...AND WERE CONSIDERED AS
AVALANCHE is defined by Webster's as: "an unstoppable natural force"...and this all-original rock band certainly seems to fit that definition...overcoming the odds to produce some of the very best original hard rock anywhere! With an unorthodox strategy for success in 1978 (which included 18 months of intense rehearsals, their own record label, $75,000.00 worth of state-of-the-art stage gear, and a record on over a dozen New England radio stations for three months...all before ever playing a live gig) AVALANCHE's debut show was attended by over 3500 people..and the band was immediately playing to sold-out shows and standing room only crowds wherever they appeared. Within a month after their first gig, AVALANCHE was headlining in large club venues, and shortly after that, the band was opening tour dates and sharing concert stages on AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" tour, as well as with DERRINGER, and THE PAT TRAVERS BAND. They were also considered as a tour opener for TOTO's First U.S. Tour. A tight and well rehearsed rock-n-roll machine...this band did whatever was necessary to bring studio-quality hard rock to the live-concert stage...and they did it without the support of a major record label. Now recording again, with all the surviving members of the original lineup...here is the first new AVALANCHE music in over twenty years...as well as some of their old music too, (most of the recordings have never been available before). AVALANCHE continues to defy the odds with their staying power and persistence...and by remaining "unstoppable"...they are here NOW....for you to sample and enjoy! Story behind the song
BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER Produced, Arranged, and Mixed by: Michael Foster Engineered by: Mark Easton. Mastered by: David Pendragon Music by: Mark Easton and Michael Foster Lyrics by: Mark Easton Copyright 2010 by: CRYSTAL MAGIC MUSIC PUBLISHING (ASCAP) Recorded in July, 2009 at ROUGH CUT STUDIO...Eastford, Conn. Mixed in March, 2010 at GOLDEN SUN STUDIO...North Palm Beach, Florida. Mastered in March, 2010 at THE STUDIO...Canberra, Australia. Mark Easton: Electric Guitar (Right), Lead Vocal, First Guitar Solo. Michael Foster: Electric Guitar (Left), Harmony and Answer Vocals, Outro Guitar Solos. Barry Easton: Drums, Harmony Vocal. Michael Corsini: Bass. Stephanie Krowka: Harmony Vocal, Outro Vocal Answers ABOUT THIS SONG: This song, like all the others we did during our 2009 Recording Sessions at ROUGH CUT, was a conscious effort on our part to strike out into some new musical territory...yet still remain true to our core sound and musical identity. Mark Easton came up with the initial verse chords and lyrics...and I came up with the rest of the music for the heavier vocal parts and solo sections. As I was doing the arranging on this one...the vocal buildup and trading of vocal lines seemed like a perfect way to climax the song...and we all agreed that we wanted to hear a female voice during this section of the song...so Stephanie Krowka, (who had also been recording some tracks of hers at ROUGH CUT) was the obvious choice...and so she got the nod to do those parts...although they were actually recorded at GOLDEN SUN STUDIO in North Palm Beach, Florida in March of 2010...nearly eight months later. This is also the only track I know of where our drummer Barry Easton decided he wanted to sing a part on...and that was quite amazing actually...so his voice is a part of the vocal harmonies that are heard throughout this track. Congrats Barry...you can say you're a singer now, too! Lyrically...the song is just a continuation of a theme the band has been stressing throughout it's entire 33 years together. We've done other tracks with a similar message before...THE GOLDEN SUN comes to mind here...but this one is different than any of our other songs...and shows the growth that the band has experienced since 1979...when we recorded THE GOLDEN SUN. We're all essentially just a bunch of old hippies with the firm belief that LOVE is the one thing that can heal this world. In 2010...with talk of the end of the Mayan Calendar in December 2012...the "End of Days"...and Armegeddon...all being the focus of so many books, movies, and debate...we choose to adopt the Spiritual Beliefs stated clearly in "A Course In Miracles" which says the "End of Days" really signifies an end of the days on Earth when selfishness, conflict, and war are the only thing we practice...and instead, heralds the dawn of a new age of enlightenment and unprecedented global unity. Being the eternal optimists that we are...that particular view of our imminent future just sits a whole lot better with the band than the other one. I have also struggled with some very serious health problems over the past couple of years...and I was very pleased when Mark walked in with this song and the already written lyrics...because although we never discussed it...if he hadn't written this song about this topic...I'm pretty sure I would have, anyway. We've always been on the same wavelength about most things related to our music and our songs...but this time...it's something I wanted to make sure we got the chance to actually say in one of our newer songs....while we still have the chance. Apparently, Mark was feeling the same way...and beat me to the punch. We all hope you guys enjoy this one....and that we all try the best we can to LIVE this song. Mike (NAV)

Hey guys! Thanks for the great com on my page Nav, high praise indeed. This tune's sounding great, wonderful mix and harmonies. Fantastic classic rock sound. Well done, and congrats!!
What a sound! I LOOOOOOOOOVE it! Great southern feel here concerning the tight beat. But there´s a BIG rock vibe, too! The chorus is a masterpiece. And it´s a good question looking at this slaughterhouse called planet earth. Very good number, Mike! I love hearing you got a lot of power! (Especially in the solo! WOW!) Thank you for sharing Andreas
