A bit about me.... I have always had a love of music; growing up listening to my ma and pa’s stuff on a Saturday and Sunday morining, and then my sister whose a few years older, seems to have encompased the last four decades of musical taste that i now hold. I myself started to get into dance music around 1988 and before that it was the whole Electro - breakdance scene. Ahhh those were the days, dragging lino around so you could have a pop fest, hehe (i was never any good!). Since then i have DJ’d (hasn’t everyone now!) which allowed me to put myself thru university and that led to an interest and willingness to learn how to make this musak stuff. In the beginning it was all too expensive and i was left watching my rich friends of friends making stuff with their old Akai’s and Atari ST’s. Things have changed - i love technology! Now i primarily use Reason, I still don’t have lots of cash, so am limited to that nifty little program. But thats not a bad thing as i am delving into sound design in greater depths and it leads to scenrios where you have to be creative to obtain what you want. I enjoy what i do with what i do it with. Ultimately i like music to be uplifting and happy, original and funky - if i want to be down i just watch the news! So when i’m making a tune i generally find they turn out, more often than not, happy, funky or some mxture of the above - it just depends what mood i’m in. Music is for the masses and so dependant on the ears of the noodle thats listening, let and let live is what i say. If you enjoy what you do - then do it more!! Dance, bop, jive, jingle and smile!
