I am a pseudo-medieval musician, scribe and artificer. With layered levels of simple instruments, my sounds are often uniquely archaic. While some of my music is entirely original, most of my numbers are my personal arrangements of renaissance and medieval melodies from antiquity. Story behind the song
I put this together right after the 2005 King Arthur Faire in Stroud Oklahoma. After doing a couple of Arthurian Filks at the end of the day "Last Huzzah" time, I decided to write another one. I have filks specifically now for Gwenevir, Parsival, and Gawain. This one is sort of a generic knightly one, but by pairing it with the joke, I sort of directed this one toward Galahad. I did perform one about Arthur, Lancelot, Gwenivir, and Modred at the faire, but it's not actually one that I wrote, so I'm not counting it.
Lyrics
Round Table Knight There’s a man we know who’s part of legend Some say myth or merely myth-perception When all is said and done, he’ll be the champion he’s riding out to Camelot tomorrow. Chorus: A round table knight, a round table knight He’s mounted on his charger, and riding on to fame. No questing beast nor damsel in a tower will sway him from his quest, nor will he cower And by the end of day, a dragon he will slay he’s riding out to Camelot tomorrow. Chorus In Arthur’s court he’ll find his horse a stable then sitt among his peers at the round table for the grail he’ll quest to earn siege perilous he’s riding out from Camelot tomorrow. Chorus
