Story behind the song
The story behind the song 'WITNESS': Jesus/Yeshua said, according to Acts 1:8, "...you shall receive Power (ability, efficiency, and might) when The Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the Earth..."
In these perilous times a.k.a. the last days of the Grace Age, it is a necessary Spiritual essential to have an ear to hear what the Holy Spirit of Almighty GOD is saying each day whether He is speaking to you by His Spirit and/or through His Holy written Word. Having a personal relationship with Almighty GOD and the ability to hear Him will keep you from being confused and out of control by the wiles of the adversary, his celestial cohorts and people who are used by him.
One of the reasons you will be able to know and trust the directive guidance and Voice of GOD, His Son Jesus/Yeshua, and the Holy Ghost, is because they are not schizophrenic nor bipolar. People, no matter their position, educational background, lineage, etc., can miss the mark and are sometimes schizophrenic and bipolar. That is why it is sooooooo necessary to know GOD and His Word! In doing so, you will be able to make a sound judgement as to whether or not it is of the Voice of GOD in your spirit or coming through your ear gate. The following Scripture passage reveals Jesus/Yeshua declaring the oness of the GODhead as according to John 16:13-15:
According to John 16:13-15, Jesus/Yeshua said this regarding the Holy Ghost/Spirit of Truth, “…But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from The Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. Everything that The Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [The Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you…”
However, until Jesus/Yeshua returns for us (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18), let’s be reminded of what He declared in Matthew 11:12, “…, And from the days of John the Baptist until now The KINGDOM of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
Even the blind can see that we are living in the most uncertain times in the history of Mankind. Truth is, it is uncertain times to those who are people of the kingdom of Darkness. But not so for those of us who are of the KINGDOM of Light. We are neither confused nor are we out of control. We have Truth and the Spirit of Temperance keeping us in “the know” and “gifted with Peace”.
The kingdom of Darkness is always trying to prevail against The Church a.k.a. The Betrothed Bride of Jesus/Yeshua Christ of Nazareth. But, Hallelujah to the LORD of lords and KING of kings, for declaring in Matthew 16:18, “…I will build My Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
Also, about the kingdom of Darkness, its days are numbered. Revelation 12:10-12Amp declares it, “…Now it has come—The Salvation and The Power and The Kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our GOD, and The Power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our GOD charges against them day and night, has been cast out! And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of The Blood of The Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].
