Lyrics
I’m Not in Charge Any More Copyright ©2014 Colin Ward V1 Well I’m hanging onto dreamland, Although someone wants me up, I was working ‘til the wee hours, That means nothing to a pup So I try rolling over, Thinking she might go away, But I really should know better, So I start another day V2 Now I’m sitting at the table, With a coffee in my hand, Thinking ‘bout the show last night, I played with my band Big eyes and a cold nose, Tell me all I need to know, It’s time for walking down the street, Because she’s got to go Chorus I’m not in charge any more, Someone tells me what to do, Where to be, when to go, Who to see, can’t say no, I’m not in charge any more V3 Now her bowl is empty, And I see those big sad eyes, So I drop what I was doing And look for her supplies, But the dog food bag is all used up, So I head out to the store, And she stares out the window, ‘til I come back home with more Chorus Bridge Now it feels like nap time, I could really use a rest, But it’s hard to get much sleep, With twenty pounds upon my chest So we head down to the dog park, Wear her out, make her run, But she won’t bring back her ball, So, I have all the fun Chorus
