Story behind the song
Lon and I wrote and recorded this song in 1982. We never did finish the recording. Before Lon's passing he asked me about Through the Storm. I regret that I was not able to present it to him.
In 2012 I gave the original tracks to my friend Chris Johnson who added tracks and mastered the song.
So in memory of a great friend I give you the finished product.
Lyrics
THROUGH THE STORM
When you hear thunder, the sky is angry gray
You find some shelter, when It begins to rain
There will be help there, I'll keep you warm
And I'll get you through the storm
There is a feeling, when you are all alone
You start believing, you'll never make it home
'Cause it's so many miles away, and if you need me
I'll take you through the storm
Evil can not follow when you walk into the light
It looses all it's power when morning conqueres night
But you're standing in the darkness and shaking from the sight of the storm
Time is endless, on the Serengeti plain
When you're friendless, and drowning in your pain
And then it stalks you back into the rain
You can't make it through the storm
There's just time to get out while you're sane
You can make it through the storm
