Major Hawkins enjoyed a brief period of success playing the New York/New Jersey club scene back in the late '80's. Rave reviews likened the group to a combination of Rolling Stones grunge with the harmonies of the Beatles. Who could ask for a better review! Listen and enjoy these undiscovered gems from the past.

Story behind the song
this demo by hawk reminds me a lot of a couple of the stones tracks on their exile on main st. rarities CD. pass the wine and so divine sound like they could have been influenced by jerry hawkins, not vice versa. consider the date of the recordings, jerry's came first by a couple of years.
