A mellow song of devotion, although the precise object of devotion isn't specified (other than the rain it refers to). This copy uses many different instruments, plus my voice.
This song has developed over many years, gradually tweaked into its current form. The root experience was me calling up a thunderstorm in 1999 after an argument with the woman I loved. After standing for 10 min. in the pouring rain, I took a walk through darkened, empty city streets. The mystery neither of us could understand or explain, was that when I walked in the door arriving back home, I was completely dry.

==============================
Rain, comin' down, strikes the ground.
Rain fills the sky - don't know why,... but,
Thank you for this wonderful gift of life you bring!
Thank you for this cleansing rain, that sets my spirit free!
Crashing thunder, and flashing lights.
Darkened skies, and winds which wildly blow.
Elements in fury show the majesty,
which everyone should know!
Rain on my face sets my place.
Rain calms my mind - don't know why,... but
Thank you for the chance to be here, in the pouring rain.
Thank you for the chance to feel some peace of mind again.
Walking through the wind-swept night,
Going nowhere, with nowhere to go.
Empty streets and sidewalks shine
Dim in lamps that hang from lonely poles.
Rain fills my soul - makes me whole.
Rain, from above - feels like love. ...and,
Standing in the pouring rain is what I really need -
So, thank you for this cleansing rain, that sets my spirit free!
Everything I thought was right -
who I was, and where I meant to go...
Wandering through dreams, I wonder
if I'll ever find myself a home.
Oh; my, rain...
Oh; my, my, rain...
