With all these beings of unique design
Mishaps and errors can weaken any mind
Numbing it down to the point where logical processes
Come undone, like a body would if hit by a .50 cal machine gun
Destiny I refuse it, so for me it cannot be
I don’t believe in ghost so spirits I cannot see
I play the biggest part of my fate
Other people and situations affect it, while I remain the ultimate judge
And to me there is no debate
If destiny was real, there would be no free will
I could not personally choose my fate
And life’s existence would be a fraud a fake
I think not though
And yet, I know
Every now and then
Oddities in the cycle occur
Anomalies beyond any person’s control
Unfurl and blur
A fact as sure as the sun to me
An unexpected situation I witness, to live and see
And I think that was surreal, extraordinarily interesting
Is that, was that proof
It seems like Destiny, but like you I make my own and that is the truth
